What Pre-Grade looks at
Professional graders score a card on four things, and a card’s grade is held down by its weakest one. Pre-Grade reads each from your photo:
- Centering
How even the borders are — the most common reason a card misses a 10, and the one factor you can measure exactly.
- Corners
Sharpness vs. softening, fraying, or dings under magnification.
- Edges
Chipping, whitening, and wear along all four edges.
- Surface
Scratches, print lines, indentations, gloss, and stains.

- Will my card get a PSA 10?
- Pre-Grade gives you a likely grade range and the single factor most likely to hold the card back — usually centering or a soft corner — so you can judge your odds of a PSA 10 (or the BGS / SGC / CGC equivalent) before you pay to submit.
