Predict your card’s grade from a photo

Upload a photo of a raw card and Slabline predicts the grade it would receive on PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, or TAG — plus its value at that grade, your expected grading profit at real gem-rate odds, and which grader pays the most. A photo-based estimate, not a guarantee — but enough to decide before you pay to submit.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Photograph the card

Add a straight-on photo of the front and the back — graders score centering on both sides — plus corner close-ups if you can. Good light, no glare.

  2. Step 2

    Slabline reads the condition

The AI assesses the four factors graders weigh most — corners, edges, surface, and centering — using your measured centering when you have it.

  3. Step 3

    Get the grade & value

See the grade it would likely receive on the PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, or TAG scale, the factor holding it back, and the estimated value at that grade.

What Pre-Grade looks at

Professional graders score a card on four things, and a card’s grade is held down by its weakest one. Pre-Grade reads each from your photo:

  • Centering

How even the borders are — the most common reason a card misses a 10, and the one factor you can measure exactly.

  • Corners

Sharpness vs. softening, fraying, or dings under magnification.

  • Edges

Chipping, whitening, and wear along all four edges.

  • Surface

Scratches, print lines, indentations, gloss, and stains.

How Slabline Pre-Grade compares

Most pre-grade tools stop at a predicted grade. Here’s where Slabline matches them — and where it goes further.

Pre-Grade FAQ

Can AI predict a card’s grade from a photo?
Yes — Pre-Grade reads a photo for the same factors a grader weighs (corners, edges, surface, and centering) and predicts the grade the card would likely receive, capped by its weakest factor. It’s a photo-based estimate, not a guarantee; only the grading company’s certified grade is the ground truth.
Will my card get a PSA 10?
Pre-Grade gives you a likely grade range and the single factor most likely to hold the card back — usually centering or a soft corner — so you can judge your odds of a PSA 10 (or the BGS / SGC / CGC / TAG equivalent) before you pay to submit.
Is it free?
Yes. Try one scan free with no account. A free Slabline account includes 5 scans a month, and paid plans add unlimited scans with a more capable model.
Which grading companies does it support?
The 1–10 condition estimate is shown on the PSA, SGC, CGC, and TAG scales, with BGS subgrades for centering, corners, edges, and surface. Slabline is independent and not affiliated with PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, or TAG.
Do I need to send my card in to use it?
No. Pre-Grade works entirely from photos before you submit, so you can decide whether grading is worth the fee. If you do grade it, you can then track the slab’s live value and risk Score in Slabline.
